The great wall

Thursday, August 6, 2009

Today was an amazingly sweaty day. A ten mile hike through brush, thorns, mud, trees, and corn. Lots and lots of corn. Corn with little buggies all over them. Our shirts were soaked through from our necks to all down our backs, but one thing we all agreed on was this was one of the best experiences of our lives. We all fell, laughed, and swooned over the surreal feeling that came along with the early morning climb. Its an experience none of us will ever forget, its literally soaked in-to our shirts. Haha. This is one moment I will never let go.

Ni hao, Katie,

I just love this post and your photo. Weren't you afraid to sit on that wall. Guess my heights fear is speaking here. Daniel mentioned in his post that he climbed up corn and slid down the wall. I'm wondering about the corn.

Never let go of the moment and all it stands for: accomplishment against the odds. You really can accomplish anything after this.
